WEST-REP began more than 35 years ago in Hawaii when Founder Chris West established and ran a construction company that built high-end homes.
Inspired by nearly a decade in the industry, West desired to expand her expertise into the front end of design. She returned to the mainland and earned a BAA in Interior Design.
In 2018, thanks to the encouragement and generosity of a well-respected manufacturer’s representative and designer in the Seattle community, West became a solopreneur. As an independent representative for Arktura, a manufacturer with whom she’d built deeply meaningful relationships, she worked under the name WEST-REP.
As West’s experience expanded, so did her reputation. In 2019 WEST-REP began its days as a multi-line representative.
Today the brand has curated their lines to represent premium manufacturers known for innovation and quality.
With over 40 combined years in the industry, we have the expertise to confidently consult, carefully advise, and passionately reimagine what’s possible.
Associate IIDA
Chris founded and ran three businesses over the span of her career, raised two children, two dogs, and lived on the islands of Maui, Fidalgo, and Whidbey before moving to Seattle.
While living on Maui she co-founded Maui Builders, Inc, a high-end residential general contracting company, which she managed for six years.
She moved to Anacortes with two young children where she founded and ran a massage practice as well as volunteered as a choreographer at Anacortes Community Theater and the school district. When her children graduated high school, Chris went back to school herself at Bellevue College for her BAA in Interior Design. She worked for ID PROJECT as a rep for Arktura until she founded WEST-REP in 2018.
She enjoys collaborating with creative people, facilitating design projects in the Pacific Northwest and across the country.
She also has a passion for re-arranging her furniture, dancing, music (everything but opera), theater, art, landscape gardening, making terrariums, hiking, the ocean, and grilling in her backyard, not all at the same time.
Account Manager
Autum Covert joined WEST-REP in June 2023.
Autum is a creative professional with extensive experience in customer service, interior design, and home renovations.
Growing up with a mom as a Designer and a dad as a Carpenter, Autum was destined to be in the design industry. She obtained a BFA in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington and has worked within the industry for 9 years. A rare balance of creativity and organization makes for a great fit to collaborate with our clients.
Autum also enjoys playing recreational soccer, crafting, antique shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
